The Katsu Tapes are a compilation of fifteen demos recorded over the period of a month between October and November 2010. Joey Bentley (In Konso Gardula, The Young Rapids) hopped a train to Santa Fe, New Mexico in the Fall, where Luke Carr (Watch Man Walk, In Konso Gardula) and Peter Duggan had been working on some material that was in need of drums. With Joey on the injury kit, Luke on guitar and Peter on bass, the trio rehearsed for one month to play a single show under the name Katsu (formerly Knifemeal), which; all recordings of, including the live radio broadcast on a small pirate radio station, mysteriously, were erased. Luckily, numerous demos were recorded during rehearsals with two microphones onto an analog four track machine. So, this is whats left, the Katsu Tapes. Joey left the day after the show, and Luke and Peter continue to play as Pitch & Bark.
